The Hound. was founded on a simple conviction: that professional pet care should be exactly that — professional. Not a side project, not a volume business, but a specialist service built on genuine expertise and deep relationships with the animals in our care.
With over ten years of hands-on training and handling experience, we work with a deliberately small number of clients. This allows us to know every animal individually — their temperament, their triggers, their joys — and to deliver a level of care that simply is not possible at scale.
We are fully insured, DBS checked, and hold current animal first aid certification. Every walk, every visit, and every training session is approached with the same standard of professionalism.

Initial Consultation
We begin with a relaxed, no-obligation meeting — at your home, or on a walk — to understand your dog's personality, routine, and any specific needs. This is as much about you meeting us as it is about us meeting your dog.
Tailored Introduction
Before any regular service begins, we carry out a structured introduction. For walks, this means a trial session to observe behaviour, recall, and social dynamics. For sitting, it means familiarisation with your home and routine.
Consistent, Expert Care
Your dog is always handled by the same person — never passed between strangers. You receive detailed updates after every session, and we remain in close communication about any changes in behaviour or routine.
